Station, 1910's Note dated 8/23/2010 from Ed Burnett, Lynchburg, Virginia The depot was actually located on Twelfth Street in Lynchburg, Virginia along the Durham District of the N&W Rwy. It was built by the Lynchburg & Durham Railroad in the 1890s and became an N&W depot when that road absorbed the L&D later in that decade. It was demolished in the early 1960's after passenger service on the line to Durham ceased. |
