NotesNegative #18102, Engine No. 95, Wreck of train No. 3 June 1898 (April 27, 1933) Information from Jim Blackstock on 1/7/02 follows: This locomotive was involved in at least two serious wrecks. One while handling train # 3 June 1898 and the other while handling train #3 on Oct. 17, 1902. Best guess is the photo involved the June 1898 wreck. The only other info would be the class M (4-4-0) was assigned to the Scioto Div. for most of their life. This would most likely place the wreck between Portsmouth and Columbus. This wrecked locomotive was nothing but a fender bender for N&W shop people. When rebuilt it looked and ran better than when new.
