Maria Lawson Bolton was unmarried and a sister to Cora Boton McBryde. She lived with the family. Anna Cora Davidson married Dr. John Wilbur Watson in 1915 and they had 4 sons in 1917, 1920, 1922 & 1924. All 4 sons graduated from Virginia Tech. Three sons earned PhDs, another his M.A. They were raised in part by their grandmother Anna McBryde Davidson and their aunt Maria Davidson Cobb. Larry McBryde (contributor of McBryde photographs) is the son of Dr. Felix Webster McBryde.Felix earned his PhD from U.C. at Berkley and an honorary LLD from Tulane University. Mary Comfort McBryde earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Virginia Tech. Her brother James Bolton McBryde earned his B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering from Virginia Tech Mary McBryde stayed at Va. Tech. and married Lawrence Miller. They had a son and daughter. The son still lives at "Midhurst" at Va.Tech. (as of 2013.) James McBryde moved to Nashville. Tenn. and married Dora Murray.
